Hmm, my very first blog. Hello, world! I'm hoping to share my sewing experiences, and possibly help someone who may be more of a novice than me. For those readers who are more experienced than I, please know that I welcome your advice. While the actual slapping of my forehead "V-8" style is never pleasant, I'm always grateful to learn timesavers and ideas that will make the final product better.
I've been sewing for approximately two years, mostly gifts for kids. I've found that I am harder on myself regarding the outcomes than the recipients -- kids are quite easy to please! So far I've made pocket pillows, receiving blankets, a bass bow quiver, superhero capes, vests, pillowcases, circle skirts, summer skirts, tea wallets, toddler backpacks, and a few other projects here and there.
